5-Amino-1MQ

A pre-clinical lab molecule that reached the gray market years ahead of any human study, promoted hardest by the people selling it.

What it is

5-Amino-1MQ is a small molecule, not a peptide, that blocks an enzyme called NNMT. It was originally built as a research tool to study how that enzyme affects metabolism. It is sold alongside peptides, but chemically it is a different animal entirely.

How it works

The enzyme it blocks, NNMT, silently consumes both NAD+ and a molecule called SAM, two resources your cells need, especially in fat tissue and liver during obesity. By switching that enzyme off, the molecule preserves those pools and, in mice, shifts fat cells toward a more energy-burning, heat-producing state.

What people report

  • In mice, it reduced body weight, with one study reporting about 7% drop in obese mice over 11 days
  • Follow-up studies reported muscle strength gains in aged mice and faster muscle regeneration after injury
  • The enzyme biology it targets is a genuine, active research area
  • Being an oral small molecule makes it more accessible than injectable peptides

Typical use

There is no validated cycle. All data is from mouse studies, and no human dose-finding work has been done.

Watch for

In mice the effect is reproducible across several labs. In humans, the evidence column is empty: no trials, no safety data, no dosing, no peer-reviewed pharmacokinetics. Its discussion is recent, shallow, and largely commerce-driven; this is not a case with a decade of independent user reports behind it.

BPC-157 is a short chain of 15 amino acids. It is not a natural hormone your body makes on its own. It was built in a lab as a fragment of a larger 'body protection compound' first found in human stomach juice in the 1990s. Vendors sell this engineered piece, not a natural sequence.

How it works (optional detail)

In animal studies, BPC-157 seems to nudge faster blood-vessel growth at injured spots, which is the body's first step in healing. It also appears to quiet inflammation. The idea is that by tickling repair pathways rather than ordering one single thing, it helps tendons, ligaments, and gut lining recover speedier than they would on their own.

Dosing reference: Common community dosing is a few hundred micrograms a day, usually injected near the site or into belly fat. There is no approved human dose.
