What it is

GHRP-6 is a synthetic six-amino-acid peptide and the original of the GHRP class, built in the early 1980s to imitate the hunger hormone ghrelin. It binds the ghrelin receptor and triggers pulsing growth-hormone release, but its signature trait is the strongest appetite stimulation of the whole family.

How it works

It tickles the GHSR receptor to release growth hormone, but it also hits appetite circuits deep in the brain, strongly. That hunger arrives around twenty to forty minutes after an injection, and it is an intrinsic part of the ghrelin-receptor pharmacology, not a dosing mistake. Cortisol, prolactin, and water retention ride along with the hormone pulse.

Watch for

The GH pulse works, but so does the appetite, and both are bundled with cortisol elevation, prolactin elevation, and water retention. Ipamorelin gives a cleaner signal. The surviving legitimately 'wanted' effect here is appetite, not a better growth-hormone profile.
