What it is
Most of today's weight-loss drugs hit the GLP-1 receptor to blunt appetite. Survodutide does that and, unusually, also activates the receptor for glucagon, a hormone that normally raises blood sugar. Paired together, the glucagon arm seems to boost energy burn and directly help the liver. It is still investigational and not yet approved.
How it works
Think of two switches. The GLP-1 switch turns down hunger. The glucagon switch turns up how much energy your body spends and helps the liver process fat. Because the two work together, the molecule can pursue weight loss and liver health at the same time.

The idea is that by tickling repair pathways rather than ordering one single thing, it helps tendons, ligaments, and gut lining recover speedier than they would on their own.
